Not so long ago . . . | Then she said . . .
My baby is getting older *sniffle* Thankfully though, the only problem he's acquired over the past year is irrevocably floppy joints -_- Which would be why his head keeps flopping to the left, but I guess that tilt suits my arrogant little brat.
We drove up to a place called Cone's Manor for his birthday. It's a gorgeous old mansion, atop a little knoll, overlooking a beautiful lake. A lot of scenes from The Green Mile were filmed there. I've always loved going there, ever since I was tiny. I've always felt nice and at home. My great-grandfather worked as a stable boy there for the Cones, who had no children. They took a liking to my grandpa and even wanted to adopt him, but of course since he wasn't an orphan, that didn't fly and I'm sure his parents were pretty offended by the proposal. But at least now the house is open to the public, and isn't heavily gaurded so you can really make yourself at home there. It's near the estate I based Lucien's home on, too ^_-
We had a good time taking pictures- hardly anyone was there, so we basically had free reign of the place.

Warning: Some pictures are fairly huuuuge. It's his birthday, and I like big ole' pictures, so I'm posting really big uns' for once :P

(Time does fly, doesn't it? >w<)
I love that background~! It really looks like an awesome place to visit :)
And my birthday isn't until March (this was just for Lucien's)
For his joints, have you tried hot glue sueding his neck? And for a floppy torso, maybe you could fashion an extra piece to go on his lower body part like the extra Kid Delf piece that has a smaller hole for the elastic to run through and is high enough in the torso that the upper body can't flop over.
That looks like a lovely place to go... I can just image it with snow. X3
Cone's manor really is lovely in the winter- just scary to get to because they don't scrape the road it's on ;_;
